The annual Fatherhood Festival will be held on Saturday, June 9.
The event will welcome all MNPS fathers, grandfathers, uncles, brothers, mentors and other men along with their families to spend a day of family fun with their young scholars. We will serve approximately 1,000 participants throughout the day (approximately 400 parents and 600 children).
There will be games, activities, music, camaraderie, health screenings and free lunch at the event; with rotating hands-on activities and workshops. Men who have volunteered in the Watch D.O.G.S. (Dads Of Great Students) program will also be honored by the MNPS Department of Family and Community Engagement and the Mayor’s Office.
All men will receive a Call-to-Action to become even more engaged in their local school community. Community vendors are asked to provide display booths, educational materials and giveaway items to participants.
Date: Saturday, June 9,
Time: 11 a.m. - 3 p.m.
